Born in Stuttgart and based in Paris since 1997, Henrik Jessen has spent more than twenty years working across photography, film direction, casting and production. His work blends German rigour with Parisian aesthetic refinement.
In 2009 he founded Bellanopolis, a production company for fashion and advertising with its own photo, video and casting studios. As a producer, he has delivered live events for Y-3 fashion shows and numerous executive productions, including for adidas, Triumph and ASICS. For Birkenstock, he leads the creative direction of the campaigns, from preparation through shooting to post-production. He has also produced campaigns for agencies such as TBWA (Jennyfer), Publicis (Giorgio Armani Beauty) and Bureau Betak (Isabel Marant, Love Ball, H&M).
As a photographer, he has been published in Vogue UK & Brazil, Harper’s Bazaar UK and Madame Figaro, and has worked alongside Patrick Demarchelier, Sølve Sundsbø and Mert & Marcus. He creates corporate content for L’Oréal and web content for Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci and Burberry. His assignments have taken him from Brasília to Kenya.
